After disaster strikes, picking up the pieces and starting new can be the hardest thing to do. So, the Furniture Industry is here to help. Our mission is to help people make their house a home again. One piece of furniture at a time.
We are working with Volunteers of America to coordinate local facilities, staffing, and distribution.
We are asking Furniture Manufacturers and Distributors to donate . . . All donations, large and small, are welcome. Basic donations of bedroom furniture, mattresses, bedding, dining room furniture, living room furniture, office furniture, rugs and other basic furnishings are preferred. Caracole will coordinate the pickup and transportation of furniture to the impacted regions.
After Louisiana experienced one of the worst natural disasters in recent history, we realized as a member of the furniture industry, we were fully equipped with a long list of manufacturers and distributors who, like us, were eager and ready to make a difference in the lives of those who were left with nothing.
The furniture industry is once again pulling together to provide some much-needed assistance in a very bad situation. We are asking for donations of basic Bedroom, Dining Room, Living Room, and Office furniture settings. Caracole will coordinate the pickup and transportation of donated furniture and goods to the impacted regions. FurnishAid operates on volunteered time and donations, there is no overhead. 100% of the donations are given to those in need.
